Sweetlove lever på det ytliga, placera den i knivskarp kontrast till kärnfull. Genom ett antal variationer på samma tema han skapar friktion mellan den artificiella och det stora, fullständigt utplåna gränserna mellan leksak och konstverk i vissa av hans verk. William Sweetlove föddes 1949 i Ostende, Belgien. Sedan 2001 har han varit en medlem av artisterna kollektiva "The Cracking Art Group" i norra Italien.
Som den fysiska medium som ger en grund för sina konstverk, medlemmarna använda en typ av plast som produceras via en termo-kemisk reaktion i råolja. Denna reaktion, som kallas "cracking" är också ursprunget till gruppens namn. I sitt manifest den Cracking Art Group uppmana sina medlemmar att sprida en syn på världen fylld med inslag av ironi och ekologiska awareness.To dem, tillägger Sweetlove övertygelsen att konsten måste också ett motgift mot överkonsumtion och överproduktion. Hans målningar, skulpturer och konstellationer är hans intryck av existens som återges i material såsom polyester, hudar och textilier.

Sweet Love live on the surface, place the knife in sharp contrast to the sententious. This reaction, known as "cracking" is also the origin of the name of the group.
